Questions about insurance mail
Can we send policy documents as letters?
Yes. Upload the PDF you've prepared and choose colour or black-and-white printing. We print and mail it as a letter. Extra sheets are charged separately, so check the cost before you send.
Can we see when a notice was mailed?
Yes. Use direct mail tracking to follow printing progress and see when each notice is handed to Canada Post. You also get an estimated arrival date. Ordinary letters and postcards don't include delivery confirmation.
Can we choose customers by their renewal date?
Yes. Import renewal dates as custom fields and create a segment for the customers you want to contact. Update those dates through CSV imports or your own code before scheduling the mailing.
Can we buy insurance leads through Direct Mailer?
We don't sell insurance leads or mailing lists. You supply the names and addresses of your policyholders or prospects, then choose who receives your postcards and letters.
Can we send reminders from our existing systems?
Yes, through the API and your own code. You can submit a reminder when your process calls for it. Native insurance software integrations and built-in event triggers aren't available yet.
What happens if a policyholder's letter comes back?
The letter returns to the return address you provide. Mark it returned in the app, through the API or through MCP. Direct Mailer records the return and marks the contact do not mail.
