FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I track a letter like a parcel?

Ordinary letters and postcards show printing and mailing statuses up to Mailed, plus an estimated arrival. They do not include postal delivery scans or confirmation that the recipient has received the mail.

When should my postcards or letters arrive?

Each mailing shows an estimated arrival based on Canada Post Lettermail timing for the destination. The estimate updates from the mailed date once your mail is handed to Canada Post. It is not a delivery guarantee.

Can my software receive the mailing statuses?

Yes. Read a mailing’s events through the API or receive signed webhook updates at your own endpoint. You can use those updates to keep customer records current and plan follow-up in your own system.

Can I see when a notice was mailed?

The Mailed event records handoff to Canada Post. Property managers can keep that date when sending tenant notices by mail. It does not prove receipt or provide a signature; check the requirements for your notice.

What happens when mail is returned?

Returned mail goes to your sender’s return address. Mark it returned in the app, API or MCP, and the contact is marked do not mail. This keeps the address out of future sends.

Are mailing updates included in the price?

Yes. Mailing statuses and estimated arrival are included with each postcard and letter. Printing, addressing and postage are also included in the mailing rate, so you can plan the send with those costs covered.
