Know what needs fixing before you print
An address error can waste the money you set aside to reach a customer. We check postal codes, provinces and formatting before printing, so you can correct problems before spending on print and postage.
Review any corrections before your next campaign and keep problem addresses out until they’re fixed. Once you’re ready to send, you can track each piece after it prints and plan follow-up from its estimated arrival.
Frequently asked questions
How do you check a Canadian mailing address?
We check formatting, postal code structure and province matching against Canada Post addressing rules. The check helps catch errors before printing; it does not confirm who lives there or guarantee that an address exists.
Is there an address verification API?
Address checks run when you save a contact, import a list or create mail. There is no separate REST address-check endpoint. The MCP tool verify_address can check an address without saving or mailing anything.
Can I check addresses without sending mail?
Yes. Import contacts, use the free checker or ask the MCP tool to check an address. Checks also run when you create mail through the direct mail API, so you can catch errors before printing.
Which address rules do you use?
We use Canada Post addressing guidelines for Canadian addresses, including postal code format and province matching. We keep the original input and show the formatted address that will appear on your mail.
Do you check against an address database?
The current checks use addressing rules rather than a database of occupied addresses. They can correct formatting and flag postal code or province problems, but they do not confirm that a person lives at an address.
What happens to an address that fails?
The contact stays in your list with the reason for the failed check. It is excluded from mailing until you correct the problem, so you can fix the address before paying for print and postage.
